Address Issues that affect public policy, economic viability and social justice
Promote leadership, advocacy and empowerment among members to bring about 
effective solutions to challenges
Establish positions on emerging or perennial public issues determines appropriate response and direct the action of members

The Political Awareness Committee has teamed with the UT Black Cultural Programming Committee and the Howard Baker Center for Public Policy to Present an Evening with Donna Brazile on Monday, October 19 @ 7PM. The event will be held at the Carolyn P Brown University Center Auditorium at the University of Tennessee . The Event is Free and Open to the Public.
Donna Brazile is the chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Voting Rights Institute and a political contributor and consultant to CNN, ABC, and NPR. She is also the author of Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics, and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University
